Espresso cups for restaurants

Enjoyment à la Italiana: Espresso was developed in Milan as early as the 19th century and has since enriched coffee culture all over the world. The small strong coffee - served in a high-quality espresso cup - is considered the crowning glory of a delicious menu in a restaurant or hotel or is served with breakfast or in the afternoon with cake. For an espresso, hot water is forced through finely ground coffee powder at high pressure, resulting in a concentrated coffee with a light cap.

Espresso cups

A classic espresso cup holds about 80 milliliters of coffee, while models for double espresso can hold around 100 milliliters of the deliciously hot liquid. To prevent the drink from cooling down so quickly, espresso cups often have thicker outer walls. An espresso cup comes with a matching saucer, which creates a harmonious overall look on the set table.

How do espresso cups differ from coffee cups?

Espresso cups are much smaller than other coffee cups. They usually have a handle and are served with accompanying saucer. Coffee cups are also available without a handle as coffee bowls or as a "pot", which does not require a saucer. The variety of espresso cups in our assortment is large. Whether modern, traditional or vintage, whether functionally stackable or fine and elegant - the matching espresso cups can be combined with any gastro tableware service.

Which espresso cup suits your style?

Is your tableware rather fancy and extravagant or delicate and noble? We have espresso cups made of ceramic, porcelain and bone china in a wide variety of styles and colors to match your catering equipment. White or colored rustic, in elegant design or even made of glass - only your taste decides.

What to look for when buying espresso cups?

What material is ideal for espresso cups?

Thick-walled ceramic or robust porcelain are best suited for hot strong coffee. Both store the heat so that the espresso does not cool down so quickly and at the same time look elegant and high-quality. Ceramics and porcelain are sturdy and durable and can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. Ceramic espresso cups provide the perfect coffee experience.

What is the ideal shape for espresso cups?

Your table concept sets the rules, and the espresso cups adapt to your individual style. Whether modern straight-lined shapes, stackable or bowl-shaped cups - there are no limits to your creativity. Combined with the matching saucer, you can create a modern, elegant or vintage look in your café, restaurant or bar.
